What is OER? Open Pedagogical Practice beyond contents.

Abstract

The presentation introduces the UNESCO recommendation on OER (2019) and the OpenEdu Framework (2016) to explore a broader definition of OER within Open Education. These documents and other readings in the field support the use of OER and their relationship to other pedagogical aspects, beyond content, that faculty can consider to promote learners’ engagement and active role in their learning and in the creation of OER. The speaker suggests the use of renewable assignments as an example of open educational practice that can be implemented in different courses, in line with international recommendations and frameworks.
